My son really wanted this one, before it was discontinued.
It is a real shame that Lego stopped making this line, as it was specific enough, like the pirates or space lines they have, but also open ended enough that kids could make up their own universe. The Ninjago and Nexo Knights sets are very neat, but I think they lock the kids into a narrative based on the shows and media connected.
My son loves monsters, and plays with these sets with the big monsters as the good guys and the "heros" as evil robot hunters. Anyway, like the rest of these sets, it's very nice, and you can easily combine parts from other ones of this line to make a myriad of imaginative creations.

It's a high quality toy from Bandai, of the same caliber as most of their recent kaiju figures.
Good for a collector who likes the less expensive kaiju toy lines and great for any enthusiastic children or kids at heart.

It looks awesome, but it's not great at movement.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich The product is very small, smaller than I realized it would be. It fits in your hand like a Hot Wheels car. It is lightweight, and it doesn't feel fragile, but the pullback action is not everything you could desire. It works okay, but over very small distances, and it doesn't feel like it's something I should test out super often. I'm afraid it'll stop working all together.
When it rolls, or if you roll it gently forward yourself, the front mandibles move in a really neat insect way, and the segments of the body have a rolling wave like motion, so the movement is very convincing to the film, the pullback mechanism is obviously doing a lot of work to make all of that happen, so I think it is probably a bit more than the gear-work can really handle.
As a collectible, it is a good value, and in terms of just having around, it looks great on a shelf or in a display, but it is not a particularly good "toy", even for a collectible. A look-pretty with limited functionality.
