Worth getting only at a discount.
Overall, this is a great item. On the plus side, the size of the centerfolds is great. You can literally see beauty standards change as you turn the page.
On the con side are a few things. First, Marilyn Monroes centerfold is not full sized like the areas. That seems like a huge error to me. Secondly, there are no stats and measurements of the centerfolds as there was in the magazine. Not essential, but it would have been interesting to trace the changes in beauty standards.
Overall, this item is worth getting at a reduced price. I paid 40% of the original cover price because the case was damaged. That was a fair price for a book that weighs 30 pounds, but I don't think the book is worth more than that.
Remember, Playboy ran for years after this, so while massive, this doesn't have the last few years of centerfolds.
Yes, Playboy was too heavy handed with their airbrushing of models, so just be forewarned.
