In the same league as "Lawrence of Arabia"
Just goes to show you that 1939 was the greatest year in film history and "Four Feathers" is excellent proof of that.

A film of many memories that has lasted a lifetime
I saw this movie in junior high and became a fan of Sir Ralph Richardson. By this time I was seeing anything that Peter Sellers was doing and would continue for the rest of my life. What I didn't realize in 1979 that my mentor in the film industry, Hal Ashby directed Mr Sellers in the 2nd to his last film prior to his death. All I had to do was ask Hal to work behind the scenes or be cast as an actor, this was how close we were. I never would ask any of my mentors for favors, though I did that same year work with Dudley Moore in the film that made him a star in a Blake Edwards film. Whose film debut was "The Wrong Box". Two years earlier I had the pleasure of working with Michael Caine, we had lunch together one day and something in common, Cary Grant. The actor that inspired both of us, our favorite film was also the same, "Charade" to this day. Caine was a good friend to Mr Grant. In 1979 again, my friendship with Mr Grant began until his death. "The Wrong Box" brings me so many memories that has lasted a lifetime. I recommend this film because the all star UK cast and the screwball comedy that you never see anymore. But only the British could do that their invasion of the 60's was not just the Beatles.

Sam Peckinpah, the no holds bar, maverick of the film industry.
I have been a Peckinpah fan since I was a kid, "Ride the High Country" and "Major Dundee". His two masterpieces, "The Wild Bunch" and "Straw Dogs" are phenomenal pieces of works that haunt me to this day. This film, a political thriller of emplacations concerning the CIA are too close to the truth with Gig Young's portrayal, a real life character right out of the Central Intelligence. Read the book, "America's Deceit", why our country has gone the direction it has even today. Peckinpah's follow up film "Cross of Iron" is his last great work. Sam Peckinpah will always be remembered as the maverick he is in the film industry.
