Clear and concise volune
It’s all laid out in a most understandable manner for those with at least a grade 16 level and not necessarily in the girls of Botany but an interest nonetheless

Journalistic Bio at its best!
Jon Krakauer knows how to write a compelling story while eliciting the facts and digging up more. This is a story that needed telling and I'm glad it was told by Jon. This is the third of his books I've read (Eiger Dreams, Into Thin Air). The family of Christopher McCandless (the young man who went "Into the Wild") all cooperated fully with the author and other people who encountered the lad on his close to three year Wilderness Odyssey cooperated fully as well. The putting together of this story took a lot of work and digging but it was well gathered and is well told. Anyone who loves wilderness and has felt the tug of living in nature will sympathize with the protagonist. The lessons learned as to his demise are also well stated. This is a great read.

Bonnie Raitt at her wildest
This is perhaps my favorite Bonnie Raitt album though it has been hugely underrated. Released in 1982, it featured some members of the British Band "Small Faces" as her back-up group. She totally lets loose on many of the slide guitar solos especially on the title track "Green Light." It is very rocky, funky and of course blusey. She does a cover of "Me and the boys" which Dave Edmunds had done just a few years earlier, in which she lets it be known that she could run around with the guys and be accepted. One of my favorite tracks is a slow blues "River of Tears" in which she demonstrates again her depth of musical soul. Her voice is loud, soft, assertive, bold and at times gentle, but she is always strong and always totally a woman. She does all of the lead guitar on this album and it all sounds great.
