Great for slap, BUT......
These strings are fantastic for slap bass, if you play a lot of slap I would certainly recommend them. Nice, bright, tone and very responsive, I've had these on a month now, I play every day and there's still loads of life left in them. My only criticism is that these are a little bit low in tension, which is obviously useful for slap, but for plucking it means you have to employ a really, really light touch or it hampers your speed, clarity and attack, and you have to work a little harder to eliminate unwanted noises. If you're a seasoned bassist, this won't pose too much of a problem, but for the novice and some intermediates - or anyone with a heavy picking hand who likes to dig in - maybe keep looking. If anyone can recommend a string which responds like these for slap, but is of a higher tension, I'm all ears.
