Does not dissolve but leaves a layer on the pond bottom

This stuff does not dissolve in your watering can of pond water at the prescribed dosage. It left a layer of sediment in the bottom of the watering can. Yes , the water does clear after a while but it leaves a residue on the pond bottom / liner. I do not have fish, but wonder how the newts and other bottom-dwelling creatures will survive being buried by this layer of chemical. Would have given it no stars if i could.

Consider the other Digoo models - eg TH8868

This TH8888 Pro is a replacement for the TH8868 which stopped working off batteries after fair service. It still works off the mains but I have it in the bedroom and do not want the light on at night. I liked the idea of max / min readings on this model which was the main reason for changing. The contrast of the figures against the background is poor and the casing seems of inferior standard. The weather forecast screen is useless as it has never shown other than cloudy even where there is a deluge outside. The rest work ok. There is no sunrise / sunset reading on this model. Overall, I think I prefer the TH8868.
