Easily grinds small batches of baby food! The product works great and is easy to use and clean. I did not have any problems with liquid leakage, although I’m sure it could happen, depending on the food. People who have trouble with the grinding mechanism probably did not assemble it correctly. Assembly can be confusing if you are not familiar. Here’s how: hold the grate with the word ‘up’ facing you. Lay the blade on top of it with the word ‘up’ facing you. Insert the post through the blade and grate with the threaded part pointing away from you. Turn it over and put the plastic washer, then the handle, on the post. Secure it with the little threaded knob. Now the grate will lock into the base when you turn the handle clockwise. Keep turning the handle clockwise while pushing down on the base to grind. If baby gags on the food, try stirring in some water to thin it. ;-) To clean, loosen the knob a little so you can get any food bits out from between the grate and the blade.
