More than just a great looker
I've been a Loudness fan for many years. When I learned that this guitar was available to buy in Japan, I became very interested in trying to get one. I even tried finding one in a guitar shop when I visited Tokyo a few years ago. I'm new to eBay, so purchasing one this way was a bit intimidating. However, the whole process went smoothly and I'm very happy I did it.
The guitar itself is very nice! The craftsmanship at this price point is really good. Usually, body shapes like this don't hang on a strap very well, forcing me to hold the neck up while I play. This shape is actually very well balanced. The forearm and rib reliefs are surprisingly effective, allowing the guitar to be comfortable sitting or standing. The flame maple top with 2-tone sunburst finish is almost too good to be true at this price point. The flame is very well-defined and matched very well.
The pickups sound exactly as I hoped they would. Not quite as powerful as the Duncan Distortions I usually use, but very close. And power isn't everything. Their voicing makes it very easy to dial in Akira Takasaki's tone. The push-pull coil-splitting volume knob is a great touch, and the pickup selector is in an ideal location for quick switching.
My only complaint is that the 1000 series Floyd Rose tremolos seems to be getting worse each time I try one. The fine tuners are hard to turn on this one. I'm tempted to put an original Floyd in just to match the quality of the rest of the guitar.
Overall, awesome guitar! I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if I wasn't already enjoying this one so much.

So much educational and entertainment value in such a short run time.
This is the best documentary on samurai swords I've seen. It covers sword metallurgy in great detail, traditional and current forging methods, the sword's use in martial arts, and its place in pop culture. It's entertaining and educational enough that I've watched it multiple times. Even gifted a copy to a friend who had expressed interest.
