Hitchcock on great form....
An enjoyable Hitchcock thriller. Exciting plot and though I've seen it many times before, good enough to enjoy yet again.
The DVD was as described. Great picture, extra features so good value for money.

Insightful and fair account
Not quite finished yet but a fascinating account of the post referendum situation. Required reading for anyone who wants insight into what was happening in the conservative and Labour parties through this difficult period.

A Very Interesting Read
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I highly recommend this book. For anyone who lived through the period it will bring back some good ... and bad... memories. I thought I knew the facts of the case but didn't know nearly enough.
In his acknowledgments the author states that this is usually the place where the wife gets credit for helping through such a difficult experience but that in his case he found a lot of the story very funny. Well, that's true - some of it is very amusing. But the death of the dog Rinka isn't funny at all and nor is the way that the Establishment joined together to protect one of their own. Thorpe went on to live to an old age (if not a healthy one - he got Parkinson's). I couldn't bring myself to feel at all sorry for him, although it is awful that the laws regarding homosexuality caused so much trouble for so many people.
