There will not likely be a cure for AD; but rather there will be a management of AD. I strongly believe most researchers will agree.

I have a lot of interest in the subject. I found his reporting to be honest and thorough; however, he has a definite bias that somewhat detracts from his overall message. He projects the misdeeds of some researchers to cast doubt on entire concepts. Alzheimer's (AD) is a disease with definite connections to genetics, aging cellular processes, environment, life-styles, diets, etc, etc. I liked his final chapter: AD is complex and will likely have multiple management therapies. The misdeeds of some researchers may have mis-directed the focus; but not likely to the extent that he implies. I recommend it, with reservations; I found some content a bit compelling, but overstated. I strongly disagree with his opposition to designate conditions of pre-diabetes and pre-AD, I find those designations to be enlightening and extremely on-target!

Siddhartha Mukherjee is very knowledgeable and his writing style is a pleasure to read. He paints an interesting historical and personal perspective on these very technical subjects.
