Great replacement bridge

Pro: heavy duty made to last. Bolted right onto 2020 USA Performer Tele without any modification. Con: The height adj set screws are way too long. I obtained shorter ones that set just even with top of string saddles. 6mm m3 set screws for both E strings. 8mm m3 for the rest. The old style 3 barrel string saddles are tricky to intonate on a Tele. This 6 saddle replacement bridge is the way to go. Great tuning capability and you don’t have the high edge of the old bridge plate catching your pick when you’re playing. Tip: most hardware stores won’t have m3 set screws. Gotta do your Google search to find them.

Intonation issue solved

No problems with this bridge. There is though a common issue with these brass saddles: the saddle screws usually extend above the saddles and can cut into your palm when you palm mute. The solution is to hunt for shorter replacement screws. Do a google search and there’s a lot available. These 3 saddle (compensated) bridges solve the intonation issue that is common on the traditional Tele bridges. I notice on the newer issue Fender Pro II Telecasters, the bridges come from the factory with the compensated bridge already installed. Nice.
