Skip LG drives!! Lite-On is far superior.

Handles discs with minor scratches much better than 2 different LG drives I've tried. It's easy to install, works great, and in general can be found for less money.

Nice features. Consistent grind. Well made.

I transitioned to this grinder after a cheaper tube-style mill (they're sold all over Amzn for like $12) fell apart in the grinding mechanism. This one is well worth the small increase in cost. The parts are fully metal from the arm down into the connection to the ceramic burr. This should make it much more robust. The glass grind catcher avoids static that can build up from the process. I've yet to need more than a small tap to get all the grounds cleanly out into my press. The grind size can be dialed down to very fine, adequate for espresso. I wouldn't know about Turkish, as I've never used that method, but heard it needs to be even finer. I'm guessing you could get there with this model, but it would take a lot of cranking to get enough grounds. I would not hesitate to buy another of these when/if this one wears out. The instructions mention that after a lot of use, the ceramic burr might become dull enough that you'd want to replace it.
