1x Assemble the Doomsday Machine: Archenemy: Box Set New Special Products - MTG
    17. Mai 2017
    Versatile Multiplayer Experience
As the toughest of the Magic: the Gathering Archenemy decks, this set provides a perfect mixture of challenging your opponents and testing the player's skill as well. 'Assemble the Doomsday Machine' features powerful cards that can either expand your playing experience or let up to five players enjoy the game at once without the need to spend a lot as a group. The unique Archenemy game mode pits one player against up to four opponents at once. To even the odds, the one player - dubbed the archenemy - has access to twenty strong 'Scheme' cards that can quickly spell disaster for the enemy or leave some of them in the dust as another gets stronger. As the game goes along, the power of each deck is put to the test as the opponents race to take down the archenemy before they become too powerful to handle. With 'Assemble the Doomsday Machine', this is no exception. Packing an onslaught of artifact spells and synergy within its cards, it is certain to provide a tough challenge to the casual or experienced players at once.

A one-of-a-kind hip-hop experience you have to see and hear to believe.
Hip-hop today is something of a radio-driven experience. All the radio stations declare "the best in hip-hop and R&B", but the real definition of the former has probably been lost in the mix. It takes a good look back into the early 2000s to see what it really is, and this album provides the perfect window to peer through and glimpse hip-hop in its authentic form. Mr. Lif, a Boston rapper on the underground Definitive Jux label, debuted in 2002 with this album: "I Phantom". With only one single released - "New Man Theme", which barely saw radio play anyway - this album is something you'll have to dig for. Taking a look at the insert and liner notes provides an instant look at how powerful hip-hop can be, as the artist proceeds to give the listener a story of life and death in all of 14 tracks. From the beginning to the end, the listener is given a deep look at the societal troubles of the time (just a year after 9/11 and less than a year into Iraq), and it takes many listens to get the full story. Fortunately, Lif and several all-stars from Def Jux provide a sort of 'table of contents' at the beginning. Each track, while providing lyrics and some unique beats, provides one chapter of the story. Notable parts include "Live From the Plantation" - Harsh treatment at the workplace, "Success" - a grim view of what people misconceive success as, "Friends and Neighbors" - the media and how people view it and "Earthcrusher" - the nuclear holocaust. Along the way, we get guest spots from Def Jux's roster that add a whole new dynamic to the mix. El-P's low-grade production has a high-power effect on the beats, creating eerie tones and sounds for "Post-Mortem" while dropping his own verse, along with a verse from Akrobatik of the Perceptionists. Insight plays a heavy role on the whole album, producing some of its best beats and delivering some of its hardest lines. And to wrap all of that up, the cuts and turntables are handled by DJ Fakts One to perfect effect. It's everything old-school hip-hop had to offer to the listener. For its time, this album was something people could relate to: hard times and struggles that put many people out of luck, jobs, and out of time to do something about it. Today, it is something for people who lived in those times - as I did - to look back on and remember. It's more than hip-hop, and greater than the radio: it's a story that people were a part of, even without knowing. It's Lif at his diabolical finest, telling a story only music can.
