compression release / cam
the compression release mechanism is part of this camshaft assembly. mine had failed like so many of this 31C707 engines. briggs knows about this & it appears this new camshaft has a little different design & hopefully stronger material used. this cam looks very well made & was much lower priced than I thought it would be. engine starts & runs great so far.

WHAT A NICE COVER IN APPEARANCE & LOOKS TO BE WELL MADE. FIT MY VEHICLE & I LIKE THE TIE STRAPS. IT HAS NOT SEEN ANY WEATHER YET BUT I FEEL CONFIDENT IT WILL DO THE JOB. UNBELIEVABLE PRICE!! I WILL BE ORDERING A SECOND ONE.
