16CH Wireless Remote FM Radio Flash Speedlite Trigger w/2.5mm 4 Receivers
    09. Mär 2017
Budget friendly alternative to Pocket Wizard
If you're not interested in spending $400 for a set of Pocket Wizard transmitter/receivers, then I'd highly recommend this Light Studio radio trigger set. It's all analog, so forget about an LCD telling you what channel you're on, or what the F-stop is, sync speed, etc. You have four binary switches on each receiver and the transmitter to configure the channel. Each receiver requires two AAA batteries (not included), but also comes with a manual sync cord too. Just make sure the receivers are set to the same channel as the transmitter and you're good to go. I tested these on my Canon 5D (the original 5D), and my Olympus E-PL7. Both worked flawlessly.

3 Studio Photo Flash Strobe Light Stand Kit w/ Softbox Umbrella Lighting Photo

Perfect beginner's kit for learning studio flash
It’s hard to imagine that $150 will buy you almost everything you need for a studio lighting kit, but that’s exactly what this product offers. This is by no means a professional kit, nor even an enthusiast-grade kit, it’s a beginner’s kit for an amateur photographer who’s just getting into to flash photography. Before buying this kit, I had never used flash on my cameras before – I always relied on natural light to expose my images. But I wanted to try out flash photography (specifically studio strobes) without having to spend over a thousand dollars on a decent kit, and this set up met my needs perfectly. My studio space is small. I converted my guest bedroom 10ft X 12ft into a temporary studio which fits my backdrop, three continuous lights, and the three monolights included in this kit. Because it’s such a small space, the meager 110WS (34GN @100 ISO) power output of each studio strobe is more than sufficient to properly light any configuration I have in mind. In fact, dialing the power output to down to 50% for two strobes pointed at a white muslin backdrop (placed about 6ft away) will produce blown-out background that’s ideal for high-key portraits. The 50 watt modelling lights aren’t particularly powerful, but again, they’re more than adequate with a small indoor studio space. The light modifier accessories included in this kit are very useful for getting some great portraits right out of the box. My kit came with two 24”x24” softboxes with diffusion layers, two studio strobe head light modifier attachments, one barndoor modifier, one honeycomb grid modifier, four colored gel modifiers, one large white shoot-through umbrella, one large silver reflector umbrella, and the carrying case. This kit doesn’t include any wireless transmitters or receivers for the strobes, but you can buy inexpensive transmitter/receiver kits for about $25 that work perfectly well with these studio strobes. If your goal is to learn the principles of studio strobe flash techniques without wanting to spend over $1000 for a premium grade lighting set up, and your studio space happens to be indoors, then this is really a great kit to get started with.
Canon EOS Rebel II SLR Film Camera Body #636

    Great inexpensive film experience
If you're already invested in the EOS lens system and are looking for an inexpensive film camera, then the Rebel II is probably the best bang for the buck you can find. How inexpensive? I picked mine up in mint condition for $10. It's a relatively simple camera as far as features go, but any user of modern digital Canon cameras will be immediately comfortable with the operations.
