The Genius of Munch
This collection of symphonic works captures the great Charles Munch at the height of his powers during the Golden Age of stereo recording.

Excellent interpretations of some of Haydn's best symphonies.
This is a first-class performance of Haydn's "Paris" symphonies, Nos. 82-87, recorded by Leonard Bernstein and the N.Y. Philharmonic while he was Music Director of that orchestra in the 1960s. The sound is warm and well-focused. The performance of No. 87, in particular, is noteworthy, having been critically acclaimed as the "reference recording" for that work.

Usual excellent work from Nash Ensemble
The Nash Ensemble is rightly known for its virtuosity and doesn't disappoint in this recording. The rarely performed Septet is a treat and my reason for buying this CD.
