Van's greatest album bar none!
Utterly magnificent album from start to finish! I always loved it since it originally came out in '68 but this remastered and expanded version is nothing short of a dream come true! I always wondered why it hadn't been remastered as so many of VM's later albums had been but in 2015 it finally was, thank heaven! I have seen him perform live many times. The fascinating thing that people who haven't should know is that he performs all his songs with his eyes shut tight. He's the only artist who I have ever seen who does so! I imagine that he does it that way so that he can throw himself completely "Into the Mystic" of every song he creates. What a great man!

Magnificent scholarship
This biography may well be the finest one written about anyone ever. Its 744 pages only took me 5 days to finish. I had a hard time putting it down.
