Worn Battery Contacts
For some time my Shimano STEPS powered e bike has suffered from errors in the data stream due to worn battery contacts, the gold plating having been rubbed through by the battery moving about whilst riding. Despite regular cleaning this was causing the system to cut out more frequently. 2 special tools are required, a crank puller and a lock ring socket to allow access to the motor casing.l This new harness assembly took about 20 minutes to fit and fits perfectly. Hopefully trouble free e biking from now on.
