The real Apple deal: DVI to a VGA monitor

This is a genuine, new Apple Part # 603-3342. Soon after receiving this little adapter, I tested it using the DVI side of a geForce card in a Mac G5, to a fairly generic VGA-only CRT monitor, an RIC X-970. Perfect transfer. Now I know I can run a DVI card in my G4s (or whatever) and be running and testing using any VGA monitor I have around until and unless I choose to get a new monitor. Useful.

Quality Bladeset, More Aggressive than the original

Was a little nervous about ordering a non-OEM bladeset, but so far I have only positives to report. As advertised, it appears to be a heavy duty bladeset and does a good job and has remained well sealed. The action is more aggressive than the original blades, having serrated main blades and an additional pair of low-sweep blades in addition to the four point main blade. A light liquid at full power will tend to go up and down more. It seems to have some slight vibration; I think that is the additional turbulence of the blended liquid. I also have tried it on a vegan shake that included seeds; it blended them in the lighter liquids well and then I added frozen fruit, which it handled well. The unique included wrench is made of heavy plastic, works well, and is actually a safer, non-scratching design compared to the metal factory wrench. So far, so good!
