I have not actually charged a bottle yet using this, but it does "fit" standard propane bottle and tank and is of heavy brass. It got delivered two days ahead of earliest projected date.

For The Price ...
... it is very good, assuming one gets it for $25 or less. I see where a few people are selling them for $100 ... you can do much better for $100, but would be hard pressed to find an equal for $40 or less. Strong metal body, dropped on asphalt from roof of car ... no damage at all. Sound is OK for the size and for the most part is very easy to use. Main drawback is having to connect to laptop to delete recordings. Long recording time, record quality is good, playback through head-phones is good. I will probably buy another.
