Design fail
The item itself is made of good quality. It's the design of the tool that needs improvement. Does not skiv well and difficult to use. Blade does not touch leather at an ergonomic angle therefore it doesn't cut at all.

Good product. Printing could be better
This model is definitely an upgrade to the old model I had. There are so many more features I have yet to use and learn. I especially like the double line feature. However, I noticed it doesn't print crisp letters all the time and when printing, it always wastes extra tape unnecessarily. That would be a design/engineering improvement that Brother needs to make. Otherwise, if you only need simple labeling and don't mind the wasted tape, this model does the job.

Learning pens
I’m getting into hand lettering and this brand and model appeared to be the most commonly used. They write well and have good ink flow.
Unfortunately, the descriptions on the pen barrel are in Chinese so in order to determine which pen is the hard tip vs the soft tip, you simply have to pull the covers off and compare the tips.
I also feel they can be sold cheaper since they are mass produced. Otherwise, as a beginner, this is a great tool to start your hand lettering journey!
