More than it seems
I am a priest vowed to celibacy, and I take that vow seriously. This book is not trying to explain away celibacy or to denigrate it. Instead, it is a great support for celibacy, and has significantly influenced how I think about my own.
The argument being made is that celibacy is most healthy when it is seen as an opening and avenue to love and relationship, not as a bitter denial. A wonderful approach and so life-giving!

Must have for liturgy nerds
This book is a comprehensive collection of all the liturgical instructions (and even important allocutions!) in the post-Conciliar period where so much chaos reined. In some cases, it is the only source of English translation for these documents.
Go beyond Sacrosanctum Concilium and GET THIS BOOK!! Learn what the Church was really saying during this period, rather than what poor old Fr. Joe decided would be nice.
