Unsuitable for re-celling a power tool battery
I purchased 12 of these sub-c cells to re-cell a dead 14.4v cordless drill battery, and for this purpose they failed miserably. Both the batteries themselves as well as the attached connection tabs are completely incapable of discharging at the rate necessary for a modestly powered makita drill. I first attempted to use the attached tabs to connect the cells, but found the tabs would glow red hot after several seconds of using the drill; obviously the tabs could not handle the current. I then reconnected the cells using 12ga copper wire as opposed to the tabs, which also failed. After about 5 seconds of running the drill the cells became so hot that the entire battery pack was too hot to remove with bare hands. After letting it cool, I removed the outer plastic labels and examined the cells more closely; several of the cells hard already started corroding noticeably, with one quite heavily rusted around the positive terminal.
I knew I was gambling with my money with these cheap chinese cells, but came to find out I was also gambling with a fire. I would not recommend anyone use these cells for any purpose, they are simply unsafe.

The towel ring looks nice and was in new...
The towel ring looks nice and was in new condition, but the loop is much too loose. As a result every time the towel is removed the loop can smash into the wall.
