The item I purchased was listed as used but in good shape. When I received it, it was missing parts, screws were stripped, and consumables that were in the description but were in such bad shape they should have thrown them away. The storage case is supposed to have a foam insert and it wasn't disclosed that it didn't come with it. The seller didn't want to fix any of the issues.

okay, but over-priced
0 von 2 finden das hilfreich for the abilities of this reel, there's many others that are less expensive. I have hundreds of rod and reel combinations being in the charter fishing biz. BUT, use these for a certain application only. You can spend less on a shimano triton 100G and get essentially the same reel. That is less corrosive and made of composite graphite, only draw back is one handle bearing and the rest is bronze bushings, which equally ''bullet-proofness'' but slightly less smooth. and no saltwater corrosion issues, ever. SO, its up too your application, and preference.

The Daiwa Ryoga "Shrapnel" 300
I have 7 Daiwa Ryoga's, to include one Shrapnel 300. If you cast big baits, with heavy line (50 # Braid for me) and want the quality of a Daiwa high end round reel, this monster of the Ryoga series of reels is where it's at. The smoothest casting centrifical cast control reel I've ever made a cast with. Massive knobs on a handle size thats just right. Bearings, bearings, bearings, is what counts. Frictionless casts, & retrieve, with a drag to match. Overall, this reel screams quality from the first time you handle it. It's spool is WIDE, thats something you'll have to get used too.
