The perfect Merkur Razor
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Of the Merkur razors I own which include the 23c, 34c, and Progress LH adjustable, the 38c Barbers Pole produces the smoothest most consistent shaves. The Progress, though adjustable, is not always consistent. I have very course hair, am prone to razor bumps and burn and have found this razor to be my daily go to. As for the mildness scale I’d rate the 38c slightly more aggressive than the 34c which is to say you will require very few additional passes.

A Suitable Compliment
For comparison purposes, my adjustable safety razor collection includes the following:
1. 1959 Gillette Adjustable “Fatboy”
2. 1963 Gillette Slim Adjustable
3. 1976 Gillette Super Adjustable Long Handle “Black Beauty”
4. Merkur Progress Adjustable Long Handle
5. Rockwell Model T
Of these my Model T rivals the Fatboy in shaving performance. The advantage of the Model T is in its knurling and weight. As a gentleman with big, and sometimes clumsy hands, having a razor I can easily grip as well as one that sits comfortably in my hand is a must. I would highly recommend this razor as a compliment to any of the Gillette Adjustables.

Love the item! Unfortunately, Carhartt’s sizing chart is not very accurate. Would recommend this purchase for people 6’ and 200lb for best fit
