Sought after deleted Jazz album
Sadly deleted and,until recently, only available from Amazon sellers at astronomical prices, this disc is a must for fans of Arriale's lyrical style. The influence of Keith Jarrett is palpable in the balladry and also in the driving rhythm of 'Waiting and watching'. Perhaps the highlight is a pared down but stunning version of 'Bess, you is my woman now' which presages her beautiful rendering of 'I loves you Porgy' on the following album 'With words unspoken'. Although not her best disc,this displays the technical and interpretative mastery that now ranks her among the top players alongside modern piano luminaries Jarrett, Mehldau, Hersch, Barron and Tyner.
