My professional opinion
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I've bough four of these units over the last 2 year's, when I receive them I unpack them from the box they come in plug the 12v cord in put a tape in and press fast forward and rewind a couple of times to loosen things up then press play and after 40 years strangely enough it's actually playing and producing a pretty good picture, but please do the right thing and replace the belts and clean the rollers and head's. The belts are actually easy to find they are fairly universal belts and Kit's can be found on ebay if you can't find them locally, these units were built solidly and design to be easily repaired, most parts inside are interchangeable with many table top units around the same time. Most are sold on eBay with their original carrying case wich shouldn't need any more than a clean up and a bit of armour oil , so in my honest opinion if you don't mind a bit heavier recorder and want a good reliable and easy to repair unit you can't go wrong and believe me you'll get a lot of curious people looking and asking questions. From me I give this vintage panasonic marvel five out of five stars.
If your lucky you might find the whole set, TV tuner, original camera and camera control unit. Strangely enough the cameras still seem to work well and actually produce a pretty good picture, the original cameras are getting very hard to find but you can use any VHS camera with this unit from the cheapest to the most elaborate,
I'm sure someone out there is going to come across a bad one with lots of problems but from my experience you can't go wrong.

The best possible betaMax portable ever made, even after being left on a shelf in the back of a wardrobe for 20 years strangely it will still work like new. It was designed to be reliable and reliable it is. I've even had ones that were damaged from the post but yet they worked when powerd up. In my opinion you can't go wrong.
