Does what it says on the tin flawlessly.
It works very well as intended and the wheel fits precisely and works smooth. The only minor gripe is that the threads in the capsule are slightly rough. It has absolutely no influence on the function or strength but take a bot away from the quality feel of this otherwise excellent product.

Fantastic money saver
Now this is neither Fort Knox or a particular good example of modern craftsmanship, but it's a darn good way to keep yer wife and kids grubby hands of yer change on the kitchen counter.
Highly recommended.

It is what it is.
If you have a harddisk of this specific model with a fried controller and the ability to update the firmware on the bord you can fix it. If not you are forced to send it to a repair shop that can. This is sadly not a drop in part alone that just makes your disk work again - or long enough to save the data..
