What we were looking for
We searched for a pirate-y tricorne hat and found a good quality one at a good price. Sadly the user's head is between child and adult-sizes but we knew this was an adult-size hat so we'd expected it to be big.

He love it!
My Lego-loving son was thrilled with this gift. He doesn't care that it isn't the current year's advent calendar...actually likes the mini-figs in the 2023 set better than the 2024 offerings.
