Fixed the problem
It worked as advertised!

A good replacement.
It fixed the problem and I'll just have to wait to see how long it lasts but it seems to be of like quality of the original one which is 10 years old.

For parts transceiver
Sold as not working and for parts. I bought it to try and fix it but am still working on it. The receiver works but not the transmit and one of the display lamps is out. As for the above 3 questions, I'd say yes to all three if it can be fixed but no to them if it can't be fixed. I had one of these many years ago but it was stolen from my truck and I replaced it with another brand. When I saw this one I thought maybe I might be able to fix it but so far no success.
