Great bit if kit for the money

I bought this with the intention of being able to use it in my garage, in my summerhouse, and occasionally in my van. It’s very easy to set up, but after “playing” with it for a few weeks, can confirm that it kicks out some serious heat and the remote control makes life extremely easy on cold mornings! I’ve stated that this is a good quality product, and this is based upon the cost. The heating unit looks fine, but the exhaust, brackets, etc aren’t the “best” quality available. Then again, we know what we’re buying at that budget price point, so all as expected. Importantly it all works, and works well. Just be realistic with expectations and be sure to take care with installation... I’ve decided to buy another unit for the van. This time, I’ll just buy the parts and not the housing as it’ll be a permanent fitting.

Great Product (but a challenge to fit)

Once I managed to fit these bushes, they are perfect. However, they were a nightmare to fit as felt slightly too big. For starters they were extremely difficult to fit in the top yoke (triple tree for our US friends) and when eventually fitted, the central bush or bold was a struggle to fit. I ended up manually chamfering all parts, which was the only way I could fit them. Still, very little movement in my ape's now, so worked well despite the hassle.

VW T4 Replacement Windscreen Washer Pump

I'd been experiencing a leaky windscreen washer bottle on my 1996 T4, although the pump was working fine, so decided to just replace the seal for a couple of quid. It immediately stopped leaking, but Sod's Law meant that when I reassembled it, the pump decided to stop working! Luckily it's only a 5 or 10 minute job to remove it and test it with a spare 12v battery. Dead as a dodo. I took a look online for replacement pumps and was pleased to find that they were pretty cheap, generally under £20. There did seem to be many variants to it's worth taking a few photos of your existing one. I found one for £11 which appeared to have the correct electrical connector and "bit" that locates in the washer bottle so placed an order - the pump came with a new seal, so this is helpful. It arrived in a few days, took a few minutes to fit, and now works perfectly (actually better than ever) with no leak. Result!
