Worked on Samsung S8
Plug in and immediately worked on TV with sound. Can not charge at same time.

Great value
There may be better quality cameras but this one is great for most uses. I have it on the back of my Jeep, I park inside, and it last about 5 years (i have had 2). I believe it was a corrosion issues as I live in the north with salty roads. I would recommend this camera for a cost savings if you have it mounted in a place easily change. I recently bought another one for the back of my camper.

Acceptable replacement.
I cracked my rear camera on my S7 (not edge). I looked all over for a new lense only with out the entire housing and this was all I could find. If you replace the whole housing you have to open the phone up which goes past the Waterproof seal, bad idea. So this allowed me to replace just the glass. Good quality but not OE sticker glue that holds it down. It should hold fine but not quite as good as factory.
