Matmos - Lipostudio
Matmos comes through again on this one. Probably the best example of the duo, we have graduated on from baloons, latex, banjos, crayfish nerves, and the like, to all things surgical. We now have the fantastic pair doing real field recordings of, among other things, Liposuction (yes, gut-wrenching), Rhinoplasty (nose surgery), LASIK, human bones, and rat cages. It is worth mentioning that they are both sons of doctors as well.
Despite the raunchy sounds of fat being sucked through tubes, the liposuction song (Lipostudio) is probably the most succesful on the record. They really pull through here, making it INCREDIBLY musical. The blippy beats run deep through the whole album, staying true to the Matmos we love.

2 von 3 finden das hilfreich Obviously this one is a classic, and it is pretty well known. Again, it basically has a very amazing deep meaning and allegory, and the surface is just a simple tale about a series of events in one life. Great read, everyone should have a copy. Seriously.
