Brideshead Revisted - PBS Series a Masterpiece
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I was enraptured with the PBS series of Brideshead Revisited when it first aired in the United States in the early 1980s. In some ways, it changed my life. It elevated my taste in literature and drama.
It truly was and is a masterpiece.
Every aspect of the series of perfect. Unlike most series and films of classic literature, this is very close the book authored by Evelyn Waugh. He would have been proud of it, I'm sure. The pace allows the story to breathe.
I was delighted to purchase the high-quality DVD version to replace my worn-out VHS set. The optional commentary is fascinating and entertaining, especially the words of Anthony Andrews.
