Works to charge but when used with transformer, two older ones burnt out.

So Far, So Good
My knives were relatively sharp to begin with and I feel this sharpener improved the edge. I did find it difficult to sharpen the smaller knives with 4 inch blades or less. This sharpener is not cheap, but I am a fanatic about sharp knives in the kitchen and it works.
