Great sub-$300 brand-name HD PTZ camera
These are great PTZ cameras (as long as you get them for under $300). Even at only 10x optical zoom, they work very well for a decent shot of a speaker at a pulpit at 50' away. If that isn't close enough, the image quality is still pretty good at 0.5x-2x digital zoom (as long as you have enough light without using the gain (the higher the gain, the more grainy the image).
The pan/tilt seems to be a bit smoother than our EVI-D70 standard definition version, but I've so far only used the Sony RM-EV100 IR remote control. I'm getting a proper PTZ joystick at the end of the week.
