These are a good value and recommended for MY application- not a Corvette
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I use these shocks, with modifications, as a stand alone air suspension system for ATV's. I would never put them on a Corvette- fix the spring, and put good shocks on it! The bushings they come with are really soft, and fail completely within hours. They are very inexpensive, and for that reason they are a pretty good value for the money. I have installed about 10 sets, and have had several fail in very short order, but the vast majority have, and are, working really well. It's like we've all heard before- you get what you pay for. So to summarize, I would not recommend these for a Corvette- the damping rates are not good, but, they are ideal for my application. I've also seen these used as replacement air shocks on Harleys, and apparently do a good job for that application too. It's hard for me to give these a rating base on the intended application.
Hope this is helpful.

China import with a Baileigh sticker, and price.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Just bought one of these machines. Came out of crate (that had a big 'made in china' stamp on it) with many loose fasteners and parts about to fall off. Pinch roll adjusters are just sharpened small diameter bolts, with cheap, hard plastic knobs on the ends. The sharpened end of the bolts just wedge the roller bearing carrier up towards the top roller. It's very hard to adjust, has very little leverage, and the poor machining causes excessive friction, that just adds to the problem. Could have bought virtually the same machine from an importer for near half the price, but thought I was getting an actual Baileigh machine. All the machining is sloppy, and the castings are obviously low quality. The adjusting scales on the bending roller are near 1/2 inch out of alignment, are riveted in place and have no means of correcting short of grinding off the fasteners, drilling new holes, and installing the indicator scales in the correct location. The 'quick release' for easy work removal requires a wrestling match to operate, and the very heavy roller will drop like a rock several inches if not supported when swung out. The safety bar is so sensitive, that just bumping it with the work piece will shut the machine down, and make you reset the whole works. I was going to give it an 'okay' rating, because it does function, and after enough fidgeting, will make tubes out of sheet steel, but, considering the name on the machine, I just can't do it. Had I bought it from one of the well known importers for half the price, this is exactly what I would have expected, and wouldn't have anything to complain about. I paid for a name brand machine, and got imported junk. Baileigh industrial should be ashamed of themselves for putting their nameplate on this shoddy machine.

Good kit for 200 psi system
I had bought the same pressure switch (just the switch) about a year ago, and it failed recently. I did not use a relay with it and assumed that's why it failed. After removing it, I found that it was contaminated with water and rust from the air tank. So I ordered the 'kit' and installed it, this time with the pressure switch standing upright so condensate won't sit in it, and used the relay. I did not have a pressure relief valve installed, so this kit fit the bill perfectly. The only complaint (minor) is that the connectors on the relays are really hard to read, but otherwise everything is working as it should, the switch turns on and off at the stated pressures, and I have a back-up relay too now. I can only give three stars right now as it's only been installed for a few days.
