Huge difference , easy to install.

Makes a HUGE difference!! installed this on my 2018 Forester. Fit perfectly. Actually easier to install on a Forester because you have more room to work around shifterr. Tip, remove the two silver trim pieces on the cubby hole, then lift up on the shifter boot,all snap on and off easy. Took ten minutes to install, and I played with it for 30 minutes to get it adjusted perfectly. Another tip is do the two washers first , you have more room to work. I also put a touch of grease on the part of the stop that touches the shifter. I adjusted mine where there is only 1/16th of inch or so play, very tight. This went from one of the worst shifting cars to one of the best. You no longer have to hunt for 1st ear, just slam it over to the left for first and it pops in, the stop just guides it in. Pull it down with a little pressure to the left for second, and the stop again just guides it into gear. Same with 5th and 6th . Why Subaru didn't do it this way from the factory I will never know.
