Direct Bosch Replacement

Replaced a 32 year old Bosch idle control valve with this new unit. Solved a cold start low and rough idle issue on my 1987 Porsche 924S.

Porsche 924 Application

Purchased for a 1979 Porsche 924. Switch is of very good construction. Though I needed to swap two wires on this switch to get the switch to operate correctly in my car and I needed to change the way this switch was grounded. There is a nut and bolt that goes through the plastic housing which holds a small grounding bracket which then needs to be removed in order for the switch to mate with the turn signal switch. That nut and bolt interferes with the spring pin way that Porsche mates the turn signal switch with the wiper switch and would get in the way of one of the 4 mounting bolts that pass through the spring pins. I needed to improvise a new ground. Intermediate wipe function does work with this switch on the 924. I used the original plastic wiring harness/channels from my car which fit fine on this new switch. It is not a direct "plug and play" replacement, so you'll have to use a bit of ingenuity to get this switch to function on an early 924, but considering the OEM switch has been discontinued by Porsche, this is a good alternative.
