Nice filter, not a necessity though.

Next to a yellow and orange filter for B&W photography a red filter might be an option as well. It makes more impact on blue skies etc (it blocks the blues) and brighten the reds. I’m not going to use this filter a lot but when having some landscapes to do I will (depending on the weather of course). An orange filter is my favorite one of the three mentioned here.

Great addition to your B&W photography arsenal.

Wonderful filter for B&W photographers. Either film or for dedicated B&W cameras (without a Bayer filter in front of the sensor). Add contrast, drama to B&W. A must have imho.
