I bought this for my daughter but read it first and had to keep it. Bought another one to give away. What a absolutely compelling autobiography of a woman coping with heartbreaking tragedy as she deals with a brain injured husband.

I heard about this book when I visited Santa Fe, New Mexico and stood in front of 109 East Palace Street where there is a plaque commemorating the events happening up the road at Los Alamos. This book relates the backstory to this significant part of WWII history. The books has photographs which enhance the reality of this intriguing tale.
