Not the dynamo that they say .....
Although this cable has won many awards in the U.K. HiFi Press, I don't quite see it. It lacks a certain 'liveliness' that many other cables seem to enjoy. They're not well endowed with depth, or with sparkle. In short, the transmit signals into music, but rather stop there. Mine are for sale, and no one is biting.

In this case, cryo is cold as ice
0 von 3 finden das hilfreich I'd rather assumed that these were garbage tubes at the outset, but took a chance anyway based on the seller's description of their sonic signature and performance. That was mistake number one. Mistake number two was actually trying them out in my Dared VP-80 integrated amp. I'm a big tube roller, and at least half a dozen quads had already been tried out. Each of the other quads offered at least some musical and sonic merit. In fact they were all acceptable, some just were more standout than the others. These, on the other hand, are sterile, cold - almost digital in their performance. I can truly and assuredly say that these are the very worst tubes that I've come across in my 35 years in both this hobby, and in this business. I've always known that this cryo business is more snake oil than fact and these tubes were my last shred of evidence and my last even accidental stumbling into the cryo trap.
