Cold Steel Walkabout Stick
2 von 3 finden das hilfreich As with all things from Cold Steel this is a solid item. Not overly heavy, but it also doesn't feel like a toy. You MUST put a 1" rubber cap on the end if you intend on being inside with it. Tile, vinyl, and wood floors will be the death of you if you try to use this to walk with and haven't installed a 1" rubber cap on the tip. (I found mine in the furniture footing section at Wal-mart with the "coasters" that go under furniture to protect your carpet or hardwood flooring.)
I'm 6'1" and it's too long for me to use as a cane in the recommended manner - but that's not really what it's for. I bought it for my Mother-in-Law who is about 5'5" and she will use it mostly to walk to the end of her driveway and retrieve the mail. She had been having problems with stray dogs and just wanted something she could keep between her and the dogs. Certainly, if needed, this would make an excellent baseball bat type defensive weapon without looking like you're carrying around a baseball bat!
Good stuff at a reasonable price and the place I got it from shipped it quickly. Can't ask fro much more than that!

Magpul Remington 700 AICS Magazine Well w/ 5 Round AICS Magazine MAG497
Solidly made out of high strength composite with metal inserts for the mounting screws to go through. The mag drops free on working the release just like it should. My only complaint is that I would have preferred a 10 round mag option to have purchased instead of only the 5. They sell them afterwards, but I would have liked it to have come in this kit. Maybe I just missed it.

Very useful tool.
Good product that can help recapture what would otherwise be a loss of carbide inserts. Getting twice the life out of the insert effectively doubles the value of the inserts and will easily pay for itself in a short time.
