A good upgrade from a Series 3
I had a 42mm Series 3 for over a year and the upgrade to the 44mm Series 4 is well worth it as the extra screen space is noticeable. Overall the image quality on the screen looks better as well.

Looks great on a Mazda 3 sedan (2010-2013MY)
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I had the benefit of a detailed forum post by someone with the exact same Mazda3 sedan as I had for tips on how and where to install the LED Daylight 4's. That made it much easier to do. I originally wanted to have the DRLs go off when my headlights turned on and connected the third wire as instructed. This caused a number of quirks with other electronics like the left turn signal flashing very quickly, then the hazards coming on instead of the headlights, then the auto-up and down feature of the driver's window not working. I called Philips for a replacement wire box that had an additional wire that is supposed to get rid of these quirks. The box was never sent to me. I simply disconnected the third wire that was causing the trouble and just have the DRLs on day and night with headlights on. My only concern was with the DRLs being too bright or illegal at night (I am in Florida), but having carefully observed many other cars, they also have LED DRLs on at night with their headlights and these Philips ones are no brighter than those. So as long as you do not mind leaving them on day and night, they work very well.

Great value, great functionality, and looks cool!
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich Great value for a roof cargo basket. I see no reason to pay $300 for Thule or Yakima. Mine arrived in perfect condition, no scratches, no chips in the paint. The directions were not the greatest for how to put it together, but it really only takes a little common sense to figure it out. This fits great on my Thule (I got them used for just $50, not the crazy price of brand new) crossbars on top of my Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. I have used the basket for a recent 5-day western road trip covering 1,400+ miles and speeds of 80mph+. The basket was flawless. I used a waterproof cargo bag and webbing to hold everything in place. What can you fit? I got two carry on sized rolling suitcases, and then two large duffle bags, plus a photography lightstand, 35L backpack, and a pair of shoes. That all fit easily in the space without sticking up above the basket itself that much. There is some noise at some speeds and wind directions, but only sounds like extra general wind noise, no whistling or anything like that. Most of the time with conversation or radio on, I never notice it. There is a fuel economy hit that again varies by wind, elevation, etc. It depends how much weight and how you position the cargo. It was not bad though. For a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk, 4x4 all the time, with 4 adults and one medium and one small dog, plus the aforementioned roof cargo, plus the rear cargo trunk space full too, averaged over 21mpg through desert & mountain and highway. Not bad. I thought I would wish for the extension to make it longer, even bookmarking it to order, but now I think just this sized rack is great for traveling with 4 people in my sized vehicle.
