Wore out too quickly!!!!!!!
Is there a warranty on the plate? The fine and course plates is a little over a year old and is bare in spots. I use it to touch up pocket knives and some kitchen cutlery.
Regardless of outcome, I will happily go on record to say that I find the Field Guided Sharpener to be absolutely incredible–perhaps of very finest of ANY sharpening accessory I’ve ever used. Thanks to its intuitive design, thoughtfully considered range of offered tools, & a frankly ingenious implementation of supplemental features (inbuilt angle guides; multi-use rotating ceramic rod: even a perfectly-placed miniature ceramic for serrated edges), I consider it indispensable for anyone who requires a sharp edge. It is an extremely disappointing prospect to potentially shelve this device due to what is likely only a minor oversight of component quality. Thanks in advance, Jared L. Thompson
