No Offence Series 1 Blu-ray NEW

Funny, suspenseful - and very entertaining

"No Offence" is relishing in the offences they commit - perhaps against good taste. But that´s one of its charms. The characters are engaging, the plots trim and interesting - and it´s just a fun experience. There are thrills to be had, some unexpected plot twists - and, again, those funny, entertaining characters. If you want goo entertainment, this series is for you. However, there seems to be a problem with the sound on this Blu-ray, which I never noticed on the DVD. The volume fluctuates, and the voices and sound effects don´t stay stable in their assigned channels, but seem to flow over to the other channels. This could just be my copy of the disc, of course. Otherwise, this show is one the best police procedurals I have ever come across. I love it.

Sweet soundtrack music

The movie "Roxanne" is as sweet as they come, and so is the music. The main theme is repeated in several different versions, and there is a recording of Strauss´ "An der Scönen Blauen Donau". 40 minutes of gentle music.

Great book about growing old with dignity. Or rebelling about just that! A tough read, but very compelling.
