You get what you pay for
It was cheap and the quality was cheap. After a little use, The whole plug needed to be removed to empty the sink - it should really just have to be loosened. I have made it functional by the use of some glue to fix the rubber disk to the metal plate. it now works satisfactorily.

Good product but not what I needed.
The product was what I ordered. it arrived in pristine condition within a reasonable time. What I did not realise was that Apple had moved on to the next version of Thunderbolt and the Firewire connection was considered ancient technology and no adaptor Firewire/Thunderbolt 2 was or would be available. Another adaptor was needed to fill the gap.
