Not ideal on very smooth-tile floors but it does protect from the sharp endpin.
We have travertine floors which are quite level and very smooth/slick surface. The grip-foam on the back of this holder isn't of the material that allows it to grip and stay put on this kind of surface. It does naturally protect the floor and is a good value, just not designed for super smooth floors.

Its a chic bag too!
I bought this because i wanted a more messenger style bag. It was sold as a guys handbag, but it's exactly what i wanted. Durable strap, understated, but urban hip in the right places.
