This book is easily used as a textbook for both the hobbyist and student alike. It provides a well-balanced coverage of CAD-CAM and the overall process from design to manufacturing this reader had come across in quite some time. If one is looking for a how to book on operating a CNC machine this not the book you are looking for. However, if you want an understanding of how to take your idea from start to finish, this book is recommended.
Exploring the processes involved in using CAD-CAM (Computer Added Design – Computer Aided Manufacturing) by laying out a systematic process of defining design, developing manufacturing process/instructions, and managing the system as a whole. This reviewer has rad both edition one and two. Both editions give an outstanding text for CAD-CAM. Edition two has been carefully updated and expanded into a well-balanced fusion of theory, practice, and analysis.
This book is wonderfully free of promotion of any specific CAD/CAM system, presenting the subject core principles in a generic and basic forms. The common misconception of CAD-CAM process being perplexing and time-intense to understand is dispelled.

Flimsy Cheep Plastic
W had high hopes for this little globe. However when pulling it from the box the stand pulled away from the bottom. The plastic is so thin that it will snap with slight handling. Unless you’re looking for something that should not be handled and looks like cheesy China made junk buyers be warned.
