Nice mould, but a bit shallow for modelling cing

Quite a shallow mould, so the finished item is not very deep. I used it with modelling fondant. You get a reasonably good imprint, but as its so shallow it can be a bit fiddly. I found I needed to build it up on the back, rather than just smooth off with a palette knife as I have with other moulds. If you smoothed it off it was so shallow the fondant ripped or was almost transparent in places. Finished item looked OK.

Cake pods

Excellent service. Delivered in a couple of days. Brilliant pods which close and stay closed, no lids popping open with these. Although not the thickest plastic, they are still sturdy and strong. The pods are bigger than I expected. I used them for cupcakes, made in regular cupcake size cases. There is spare room with a cupcake so they move around a bit. Would easily fit larger muffins. Also a good height for decorated cakes, plenty of room for lots of buttercream topping. Liked them so much I ordered two more packages after I'd received the first lot!
